The National Trust’s Dudmaston Estate have been working closely with the new owners of Quatt Farm Shop, Martin and Florence Rutter, over the 2014 summer, to improve the look of the property and have this week installed some new signage.


Major private tile collection donated to Ironbridge Gorge Museum Trust

A collection of over one thousand tiles and three hundred tile panels of outstanding quality and international significance has been donated by a private collector to the Ironbridge Gorge Museum Trust in Shropshire. The collection includes examples by the most prestigious designers and manufacturers from the 1850s through to the 1960s, including Pugin, Dresser, Morris, De Morgan and Bawden.

Painstaking conservation of Dornier 17 is underway

Just eight short weeks have passed since the world’s last surviving Dornier Do 17 was salvaged from the bottom of the Dover Straits and delivered to the Royal Air Force Museum at Cosford, Shropshire, for conservation. Since its arrival, significant progress has been made in treating some of the aircrafts smaller components, several of which are now on display at the Museum. As the long process of conserving the airframe begins, we take a look at the work carried out to date.

Dornier Do 17 arrives at RAF Museum Cosford

The Royal Air Force Museum Cosford took delivery of the world’s last surviving Dornier Do 17 on Saturday 15th June, recently salvaged from the bottom of the English Channel. The fuselage and wings were escorted from Ramsgate, Kent, to the Museum by two low loader lorries.
