Markets in Bridgnorth

Markets

Bridgnorth's atmospheric open-air markets attract shoppers from far and wide. Each Saturday the High Street and Meredith's Yard are filled with colourful awnings as traders sell everything from fresh fish to lawnmowers. Beneath the arches of the town hall, local people set out their stalls each Friday, Saturday and Sunday, offering plants, preserves and produce, cakes, flowers and crafts.

An abundance of fresh fruit, vegetables, quality meat and game in season all feature extensively on local menus, and there is also a great selection of real ales from Shropshire breweries. The flourishing vineyard at Halfpenny Green, produces white, red and rosé wines of excellent character.
