Description

A haven of peace and tranquility, a get-away-from-it-all retreat set in beautiful countryside with stunning views over Wenlock Edge. Perfect for a romantic break or as a base for walking and exploring. Close to the ancient market towns of Much Wenlock and Shrewsbury, and just 1½ hours West of Birmingham.

The stone Cottage is a detached, single-storey former barn and is situated at the end of a long driveway, 50 yards from the owners' house.

The Cottage has a comfortable sitting/dining room with oak flooring, a beamed vaulted ceiling, exposed original stonework and a feature Clearview wood burning stove for the cooler months. There is a TV with DVD/CD player, a table-for-two and a large sofa. There is also free Wi-Fi, but please note that as this is a rural location, broadband speeds are limited, and can ‘come and go’ occasionally! There is also a selection of books and DVDs, and an array of leaflets, maps and guides with information on local attractions.

An archway leads through to a fitted, fully equipped kitchen with full-sized LPG cooker, dishwasher and under-counter fridge with freezer compartment, together with a microwave, kettle and toaster.

A door from the living room opens into a light and airy double bedroom, with a further door leading into the recently refurbished shower room, with a white suite of WC, vanity basin and large shower.

The cottage also offers a secluded and private paved courtyard to the front, with extensive views over Wenlock Edge, a patio table and chairs, and a gas barbecue. The patio is enclosed which, as we are pet-friendly, makes it safe for dogs. There is private parking opposite.

The rental cost of the cottage includes bed linen, towels, electricity, central heating and a generous supply of kindling and logs for the wood burner (further logs can be purchased at cost price).

On arrival, you will find a Welcome Pack of milk, bread and a box of eggs laid by our own free-range chickens, together with initial supplies of tea, coffee and sugar, and household items such as kitchen roll, loo rolls, cling film, foil, washing-up liquid, etc.

We are pet-friendly, and welcome a maximum of TWO well-behaved dogs at Little Springs Farm by prior arrangement - please enquire at time of booking.

Booking information: Minimum stay 3 nights; discounts for stays of 7 nights or more. Prices per night are available from £65-£75, depending on season. We also offer Festive Breaks over the Christmas and New Year period at £107 per night.
