Description

A haven of peace and tranquility, a get-away-from-it-all retreat set in beautiful countryside with stunning views over Wenlock Edge. Perfect for a romantic break or as a base for walking and exploring. Close to the ancient market towns of Much Wenlock and Shrewsbury, and just 1½ hours West of Birmingham.

Little Springs Farm Cottage is the perfect retreat from the hubbub of modern day life. In a truly peaceful location, the stone cottage is a detached single-storey former barn situated at the end of a long driveway, 50 yards from the owners' house. It has a self-contained private patio - perfect for al fresco dining, or just soaking up the peace and quiet. The patio is enclosed, which, as we are pet-friendly, makes it safe for dogs.

The Cottage is just 3.5 miles from Much Wenlock, so is strategically placed to enjoy all the County has to offer – for example the fascinating museums in the Ironbridge Gorge, the historic County Town of Shrewsbury, the gourmet delights on offer in Ludlow, and a wealth of historic country houses and abbeys. Our cosy rural cottage is the perfect retreat for a relaxing short break or longer stay and ideally suited for countryside lovers.

The kitchen area is well-equipped, with an LPG gas cooker, fridge with freezer compartment, microwave, kettle, toaster and dishwasher.

The sitting/dining room is high-ceilinged with exposed beams, and contains a wood-burning stove, Freeview TV with DVD player, and free Wi-Fi – however, as this is a rural location, we do not have superfast broadband! There is also a selection of books, DVDs, and an array of leaflets, maps and guides with information on local attractions.

There is one comfortable double bedroom, off which is the shower room.

There is central heating throughout, and also - of course - the wood-burning stove for the cooler months.

The Cottage looks out on its own private patio, which affords stunning views over Wenlock Edge. It is adjacent to a bridleway which, on climbing towards Kenley village, provides dramatic views all along the Edge to the South Shropshire Hills AONB.

We are pet-friendly, and welcome well-behaved dogs.

All linen and towels are included.

Booking information: Minimum stay 3 nights; substantial discounts for stays of 7 nights or more. Prices per night are available from £65-£75.
