Summer Family Fun at Dudmaston
19th July 2013
Every Monday and Wednesday throughout the holidays Dudmaston will once again be running their very popular children’s activity days. Each week will see a different theme come to life, from being a Nature Detective to creating some Awesome Art, there is guaranteed to be something to appeal to everyone. Trails will be taken through the gardens and craft activities will also be on offer; there is also a hide and seek survival guide to keep the most intrepid nature detectives occupied.
If you haven’t yet signed up to the National Trust’s 50 things to do before you’re 11 ¾, then this is a wonderful time to get involved, as the property is challenging families to complete 25 of the 50 things before the holidays are over. As well as all this Dudmaston has recently created its own geocache trail around the Park and visitors will be able to borrow gps units from visitor reception and take themselves treasure hunting.
If you are not already a National Trust member then this is a particularly good time to visit Dudmaston as they will be running a 2 month’s free offer for memberships bought on the property between 20 July and 8 September 2013.
Visitor Experience and Conservation Manager, Tessa Lovell said “with the play area, our geocache trail and our Monday and Wednesday activity days we have a fantastic offer for families. Membership is particularly good value for money and we are looking forward to welcoming everyone over the next few weeks. Don’t forget we still have our photo competition running until 30 September so there is plenty of opportunity for people still to get involved.”
The forecast is for this wonderful weather to continue so brush off your picnic blanket, get out the sun cream and get down to Dudmaston for a fantastic day out.
