Shropshire Hills Discovery Centre gets in the mood for Halloween

Shropshire Hills Discovery Centre gets in the mood for Halloween
Sue Allen, Visitor Experience Team Assistant at Shropshire Hills Discovery Centre is getting ready to welcome visitors throughout the half term.

The Shropshire Hills Discovery Centre will be running daily themed activities starting Monday 27th October with ‘funny bones’ 1pm – 2.30pm for children aged 5- 11 who will experience a virtual dinosaur dig and see the biggest skeleton in Shropshire with the biggest bones!. Toddlers can get involved too making bats out of clay on Tuesday 28th 10.30-11.30am.

If you want to get away from the Halloween scene then there’s an orienteering course in our meadows on Wednesday where adults and children can learn to map read and use a GPS.

The week is rounded off with a spooky indoor and outdoor Trick or Treat Trail on Friday 31st October, get the answers correct and children receive a treat but get it wrong and they will get a trick! Everyone is encouraged to dress up – the staff at the Shropshire Hills Discovery Centre have their costumes at the ready as you can see from the photograph!.

It is advisable to book for the family activities at the Shropshire Hills Discovery Centre call 01588 676060 or visit www.shropshirehillsdiscoverycentre.co.uk
