Saturday opening comes to Dudmaston
30th October 2013
Dudmaston has traditionally always ended its season at the end of September but for the first time this year the opening has been extended, meaning that the property will, from 2 November, be open to visitors every Saturday and Sunday until 15 December.
Visitors will be able to take the opportunity to get out in the fresh air and enjoy the delights of the parkland and Dingle, returning to warm themselves by the fire in the tea-room whilst enjoying a tasty treat. For those looking for gifts or thinking about Christmas the shop will also be open where a full range of delightful gifts, treats and decorations are available.
The property launched their first photographic competition earlier this year, and after receiving over 100 fantastic entries, the judges have now chosen their top 25. Entries were received from visitors stretching across the whole country and of all age groups, with one of the winning entries being taken by a local 6 year old. These will now form the last art exhibition of the season and will be displayed for everyone to see in the tea-room during this new weekend opening.
Property Administrator, Nikki Hook said “it is wonderful to be able to offer our visitors the chance to come and see how the property changes during autumn and winter through this new extended opening. The colours on the property are striking at the moment and the photographs taken by our winners show so many different elements of the estate they really bring the tea-room to life. We do hope everyone takes the opportunity to visit and take a look for themselves.
