New textile printing workshops at Enginuity

New textile printing workshops at Enginuity
New textile printing workshops for grown-ups are being hosted at Enginuity in Coalbrookdale, one of the ten Ironbridge Gorge Museums over the weekend of 26th and 27th November.

These brand-new half-day workshops will introduce the principles of heat press printing and will allow participants to make three of their own designed items to take home. They are a great opportunity to learn a new craft and make wonderful, personalised gifts for friends and family.

The sessions, which are suitable for all experience levels, will use the sublimation paper printing technique; activated by heat this special type of coloured paper, transfers dye from the paper directly to synthetic fabric. During the process you will be able to create your own unique designs and print them onto fabric, including scarves, tote bags and flying discs.

There are two workshops each day from 10am-1pm and 1.45pm-4.45pm; the three-hour sessions, which cost £30 per person, can be booked online at www.ironbridge.org.uk or by calling 01952 433970. No previous experience is needed.

For further information, call the Ironbridge Tourist Information Centre on 01952 433 424 or visit www.ironbridge.org.uk. The Gorge is easily reached via the M54 motorway exiting at Telford junction 4 or 6.
