New digital workshops for all ages at Enginuity, Ironbridge Gorge Museums January - March
11th January 2018
Youngsters aged 7 – 11 years can join a three-part course working progressively up through a range of coding skills using two different programming languages, Blocks and Scratch to create fun games and animations. Sessions will also look at controlling robots such as OhBot, a robot head that you can speak to, and the easy to construct Ez-Bot, as well as programme a BBC micro:bit and littleBits Gizmos and Gadgets.
The first course will take place on 28th January and 4th and 11th February and the second on 4th, 11th and 18th March, with all workshops on a Sunday morning between 10am and 12noon.
If you would like to help your children develop their coding skills but feel you lack the knowledge or confidence to help, then the monthly adult courses might be for you. They will work though a range of coding skills and activities similar to those being taught in primary schools with two-hour sessions on Wednesdays between 4pm and 6pm on 17th January, 14th February and 14th March.
All the Enginuity digital engineering workshops for children and adults are priced at £5 per session, or £10 for the children’s three-part course. As places are limited, they must be booked in advance and prepaid by calling 01952 433970.
