Looking for Father's Day Fun?
15th June 2015
Take your Dad along to Dudmaston on Sunday 21 June and help him celebrate Father’s Day in style with a day of traditional sporting pursuits. Joined by Feather Perfect Falconry displaying and flying their stunning birds of prey and Shropshire Scouts demonstrating traditional archery techniques. Maybe you would like to make a kite at the craft marquee and get Dad to show you how to fly it in our parkland? If cars are more Dads’ thing then visit the orchard where the Stourbridge Pre War Car Club will be showing their wide range of classic cars, will Dad spot his favourite?
Events and Marketing Officer, Caroline Norcott said “We always look forward to our Father’s Day event and we enjoy welcoming Dad’s here on their special day. Feather Perfect Falconry put on a fantastic display and the garden makes a perfect backdrop to the flying birds of prey. Shropshire Scouts will be offering young and old a chance to try their hand at archery; you may even spot some of the staff having a go. I am most looking forward to seeing the classic cars, especially as one of our volunteers are bringing along their 1960’s Austin Healey. With so much on offer it will be a great day”.
There are plenty of other things for people to enjoy including a new exhibition, ‘Unheard Voices’ in the Galleries, which provides visitors with a special moment of peace and reflection amongst all the Father’s Day fun.
Normal admission charge applies with a small additional charge for crafts.
