This offer is the beginning of several joint activities between Wrexham & Shropshire trains and the Museum at Cosford, designed to promote this fantastic Museum and its easy access via rail. This exclusive 10% offer for rail users is valid throughout 2009 until December 31st.
In the current tough economic climate it is important that people can have a valuable day out with their families. The Museum itself offers FREE admission and family tickets on the train from London are just £69. With trains running 4 times per day and 7 days per week, a fun packed day out, is now even more affordable and accessible.
Arne Polanetzki at Wrexham & Shropshire, says "We want to keep the latest history alive and play our role as a train operator with a direct link to London to enable younger people, pupils and schools to maintain the commemoration of those brave people involved in conflict".
Alex Medhurst, General Manager at RAF Museum Cosford says "The Museum is an exciting and interesting place to visit, especially for schools studying history and politics. Due to Wrexham & Shropshire's direct link people from as far as London can have an easy and direct trip to our Museum. We have a vast display of aircraft at Cosford which expands on the display at our sister Museum in London".
The Museum is open daily from 10am to 6pm (last admission 5pm). Entry to the Museum is free of charge. For more information, please visit the Museum website www.rafmuseum.org or call 01902 376200. Visit www.wrexhamandshropshire.co.uk for timetables.
