EASTER PLANS FOR APLEY FARM SHOP
2nd April 2012
Easter bonnet making will take place in the farm shop’s adjacent playbarn, there will be an Easter egg hunt, a climbing wall, a bouncy castle and giant family games of draughts, Jenga, Ker Plunk and Connect 4.
Piglets Toy Shop, which sells everything from blowing bubbles to Hornby train sets, will be organising tea parties with Bugs Bunny and Bob the Builder, plus other characters brought to life by staff in costume, and they will also be running a raffle in aid of Severn Hospice and a colouring competition – children can enter at either the shop or the playbarn.
There will be an opportunity to take a walk along the farm shop’s own Skylark Nature Trail – a laminated guide to wildlife you may see along the way is available from the shop.
“Easter at Apley Farm Shop will be a very special occasion,” says Apley Farm Shop marketing manager Lady Harriet Hamilton.
“We have been in business for a year now and the three parts – shop, café and playbarn - have proved enormously popular in their own ways, so we feel our project has been a great success so far.
“So Easter marks a celebration in many ways and our shop will be fully stocked with Easter chocolate, spring vegetables and new products – plus spring lamb and rib of beef from our new traditional family butcher Mark Lowe.
“There will be free samples of British cheeses, including Mr Moyden’s Cheeses of Shrewsbury, on our delicatessen counter and we will be serving Easter lunch at the café – please book early to avoid disappointment!
“We will also be selling homemade cakes with tea and coffee as always and we very much look forward to welcoming you to Apley Farm Shop for Easter.”
