Romantic Novelists in 'Meet-the-Author' event at Blists Hill Victorian Town

The Romantic Novelists' Association (RNA) is showcasing a meet-the-author event at Blists Hill Victorian Town, one of the ten Ironbridge Gorge Museums in Shropshire, on Friday 11th July 2014. The event, 'Love of the Past', will run between 10am - 2pm and will be held in the Goods Shed located within the recreated Victorian town.


New John Scott Gallery to open October at Jackfield Tile Museum

3rd July 2014

A new gallery at Jackfield Tile Museum, near Ironbridge in Shropshire, opening 16th October 2014, will house a world-class collection of British decorative tiles donated from a private collector. The 1,300 individual tiles and 310 panels feature a roll call of prestigious design names including Pugin, Dresser, Morris, De Morgan and Bawden.

Cyclo-Cross event at Blists Hill Victorian Town: Saturday evening 28th June

Blists Hill Victorian Town in Shropshire’s Ironbridge Gorge has once again teamed up with the organisers of Newport’s famous Nocturne cycle race to host an exciting urban cyclo-cross event. Taking place on Saturday evening, 28th June 2014, the first race starts at 6pm and the event ends at 9pm. The exciting Queen Victoria Cyclo-Cross will attract in excess of 300 of the UK’s top riders.
