Bridgnorth Morville

Bridgnorth has something of a reputation for its flowers and each year the whole community gets behind the push to turn the town into a riot of colour. A number of major floral awards have been presented to the town and the hanging baskets, planters, gardens, parks and public places are a mass of blooms all summer long. The shops, restaurants, pubs and private houses all get involved, and there's a spirit of friendly rivalry as whole streets try to ensure that their showing will be the best.

The Dower House at Morville has a superb garden which is open to the public from April to September. The owner has created a series of 'rooms' which take the visitor on a journey through time, from medieval cloister via Elizabethan knot garden to Victorian rose garden.

The National Gardens Scheme has lots of treats for green-fingered visitors throughout the Bridgnorth district. There are some outstanding gardens, and the owners are delighted to open them to the public at certain times to raise funds for charity.

Rays Farm Country Matters is one of the most enchanting places you'll find anywhere and is another award-winning attraction.  In the wooded valley, all sorts of animals and birds live in harmony, and are only too pleased to meet their admiring fans. You can enjoy woodland walks by the stream, wander the unique Myth and Magic Woodcarver's Trail, enjoy a picnic or visit the tea-shop and browse through the selection of toys and gifts on sale.
