Description

Stunning views and a quiet night, sleeping on pure cotton sheets are guaranteed at this welcoming B&B (with ensuite) just outside Much Wenlock. Great local food (free range eggs of course) and fresh coffee or choice of teas. Drying room for wet clothing or boots.

A warm welcome awaits you when you arrive at Serendipity. You will be greeted with tea or coffee and a slice of cake which in summer can be taken in the garden admiring the stunning views towards the Wrekin with Peckforton Hills in the distance. The garden is a plantman's delight with a range of seating areas and wildlfe pond.

Your peaceful double bedroom with ensuite facilities has luxury pure cotton bed linen and tea and coffee making equipment. This room has a lovely view to the Long Mynd with the Welsh Hills beyond. In the foreground you can usually see my neighbour's horses. The single room has its own toilet and washbasin. Breakfast is sourced locally homemade jam, Fair Trade freshly ground coffee or a choice of teas. Special diets (vegetarian/vegan) catered for if required. Private entrance available on request. Off street parking with level access to rooms.

A footpath starts from the bungalow which is close to The Shropshire Way, so walkers are welcome. There is a drying room for wet clothing and boots. The World Heritage Site of Ironbridge, with its famous bridge and first class museums, is only 15 minutes by car. Bridgnorth or Shrewsbury about 20 minutes. Church Stretton or Ludlow about half an hour.

Lots of lovely places for evening meals are just 1 mile away in historic Much Wenlock.

We are in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, and there are THREE English Heritage sites within 3 miles!! One of these is less than half an hour on foot through beautiful countryside from Serendipity.

Further local attractions within half an hour include:

  • Severn Valley Railway
  • Ludlow with its Michelin starred restaurants, farmer's market and castle
  • The National Trust's Attingham Park

Just ask for further details when you arrive.

Serendipity really is the perfect place for a quiet, peaceful, country holiday with lots to tempt you if you wish to explore further.
