Big Bear Lodge is a brand new wood clad lodge with the feel throughout of a luxury ski chalet set in 4 acres of beautiful Shropshire countryside. Miles from the main roads yet only 20 Mins from the medieval market town of Shrewsbury it is a truly off the beaten track escape from the hustle and bustle of modern life.
Big Bear Lodge has 3 en-suite luxurious appointed and individually designed rooms. Each room has a brand new wet room with waterfall shower, king size beds with 400 thread Egyptian cotton bed linen, tea and coffee making facilities, flat screen TV, WiFi, full sized wardrobe. Enjoy a Big Bear Breakfast cooked to order with your choice of free range eggs from our chickens, locally sourced bacon and sausages, tomatoes, mushrooms and beans. Cereals, yoghurt, toast, juice, fresh tea and coffee. Vegetarian sausages available.
Guests can enjoy a real log fire, comfortable seating, drinks on the decking sun terrace with views across our 4 acres of fields and be amused by our two pet donkeys Wally and April. An ideal location for attending Rowton Castle weddings, Loton Park Hill Climbs and Powis Castle.

From Shrewsbury take the A458 Welshpool road. At Ford turn right onto the B4393. At Crew Green turn right for Melverley - go past the Tontine Inn and take the next left, signposted Hendre.
